The Friends of the Tennessee Art League . . .
The Friends of Tennessee Art League have found and provided financial support for the Tennessee Art League. Both organizations are 501C3 non-profit.
A huge thank you to our anonymous donor, who donated an extremely large supply of artist materials which will enable our adopted schools to continue their art projects through the year. The TAL and Friends of TAL thank you on behalf of the teachers and the students who are most grateful.
The Friends of Tennessee Art League and Tennessee Art League have, over the past six years, "adopted" Cockrill Elementary School, from Davidson County, Metro public school system and provided financial support for their art program.
By supporting the school's children's art programs; it enables the children and teachers to continue teaching art to the students as they advance from kindergarten to fifth grade.
When visiting the school, excitement about art is apparent as you talk to the art teachers and students.
Now, two new schools have been added to our "help list": Madison School for special needs students and Stratton Elementary. Christian has had success in obtaining much needed art supplies and distributing them to the schools and as a result, Madison School is planning an art show in the near future.
